M.A. Entrance Test




The Computer based National Entrance test (TISS-NET) will be held  on Sunday,  January 13, 2019, from 2pm to 3.40 pm in 39 centres located in different parts of the country.

 Duration of the test - 2 pm to 3.40 pm ( 1 hour & 40 minutes )

The computer based test is of objective type and even those with a rudimentary knowledge of working with a computer can take the test.

Multiple Choice Questions in 3 broad domains is shown below, with suggested syllabus/ coverage and themes. The list below is only indicative and not restrictive.


English proficiency

Mathematics and Logical reasoning (30 % weightage)
(Upto standard X level)
(To assess quantitative skills and logical reasoning)
General Awareness
(40 % weightage)
(To assess awareness about current affairs and understanding of social issues)

Synonyms & Antonyms Basic Trigonometry Science & Technology

TISS NET 2019 WILL NOT HAVE NEGATIVE MARKING for any programme including HRM.

Candidates who have applied for a single programme or multiple programmes will be attempting a single question paper with 100 questions for a duration of 100 minutes; This includes candidates who have chosen HRM in combination with other programme/ programmes.
