Eligibility for Pre-Interview Test (PIT) and Personal Interview (PI)
Short-listing of candidates for the second round of selection (PIT and PI) will be based on the merit list created on the basis of the online test (cut-off marks to be decided later by the Institute). Only short-listed candidates will receive call letters for the second round (PIT and PI) to be held in Mumbai, Tuljapur, Hyderabad and Guwahati campuses. The Pre-Interview Test consists of a written test conducted before the Personal Interview.

Detailed Application Form For all Programmes: Candidates short-listed for PIT and PI will be required to download the Detailed Application Form, which will be available in the first week of February 2019. Candidates are requested to check the admissions website in the first week of February 2019.
Pre-Interview Test (PIT)
For all the programmes across TISS Campuses, the PIT will be in the form of a Written Test (or Group Discussion for a few programmes).
Personal Interview (PI):
Candidates will appear for a personal interview after the PIT. They are advised to acquaint themselves with the programme for which they have applied, as questions may be asked questions on related topics during the PI.
FACILITIES AVAILABLE DURING PIT and PI at TISS Campuses:
Dining Hall (All candidates):
Coupons can be purchased from the Cash Counter and the Dining Hall office, if applicants wish to have tea/lunch in the Dining Hall of the Institute on days of PIT/ PI.
Facilities for SC and ST Eligible Candidates:
(i) Reimbursement of Travelling Allowance (TA) for non-local eligible SC/ST candidates: If the SC/ST candidates, appearing for the National Entrance Tests of any of the Institute’s Master’s Degree programmes for the first time, are unemployed, and their parent’s/guardian’s income was less than Rs. 2.5 lakh, during the Financial Year 2017–2018 and have submitted a certificate to this effect, and if they are residing outside TISS locations (Campuses), they will be reimbursed to-and-fro travel expenses (Second Class Railway or State Transport Bus fare). The reimbursement of the travel expenses will be subject to their submission of the original onward journey ticket and only on the production of caste/tribe, income certificate, specifying the income level of the candidate. It will be the responsibility of the SC/ST eligible non-local candidates to fill T.A. form along with photocopy of valid caste/tribe and income certificates, and Saving Bank Account Passbook, original tickets of the onward and return journey and Post/Courier to the Section Officer (SPO), TISS, V.N. Purav Marg, Deonar, Mumbai 400088 within 15 days of PIT/PI date. The applications received after 15 days will not be considered for reimbursement under any circumstances.
(ii) Reporting at the Institute for PIT and PI: SC/ST candidates, who are eligible for such facilities, should report at any one or two TISS Campuses only after receiving the call letter/mail for PIT and PI.
(iii) SC/ST eligible candidates, who have already availed of such facilities, but were not selected in a previous attempt and who have been called for the test again will not be reimbursed their travel expenses for their repeated attempts.
(iv) SC/ST eligible candidates, who have received financial GOI-PMS earlier for a Master’s Degree programme of other university, then they will not be eligible for similar facilities if they apply for second Master’s Degree programme of the Institute.
PIT/PI is organised at four campuses: Mumbai, Tuljapur, Hyderabad and Guwahati campuses. Candidates for programmes from Mumbai and other locatios will come to Mumbai Campus for the PIT/PI. Candidates selected for programmes at Tuljapur, Hyderabad, Guwahati will attend PIT/PI at those campuses.
