Dual degree in Master of Arts in International Development Practice (TISS) and Masters in International Development Practice (Monash University)

Only international applicants and Indian nationals applying for dual degree programs are accepted through the above application portal. Any applications from Indian citizens who do not meet the requirements of the international students will not be considered their application for admission into any of the courses except the Dual Degree Programs.

 

Application Processing Charges (Non-refundable and Mandatory):

₹ 8200 for the first applied programme and ₹4100 for any additional/ second programme.

 

Eligibility:

  • All students (International and Indian) must have a minimum of 60% overall average in their bachelor’s or equivalent degree programme.
  • All Indian and foreign nationals who meet the entry requirements are eligible to apply.

Home Students (Indian)

  • Along with above entry requirement for Home Students to be enrolled at TISS, the Master eligibility criteria are based on the Minimum Education Qualification as detailed in Prospectus of TISS.

International Students (Enrolling from TISS)

  • Only those students who have qualified from Foreign Universities or Boards of Higher Education recognised as equivalent by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) are eligible for admission.
  • Foreign nationals who have studied in India and Nepali nationals are also eligible for admission as International Students.
  • All international students enrolling from TISS will be required to meet the Minimum Education Qualification, as detailed in the Prospectus of TISS.

English scores are compulsory for all students (both, home students and international students enrolled from TISS) in the dual degree programme

  • IELTS (Academic) - 6.5 Overall score, with minimum band scores: Listening 6.0, Reading 6.0, Writing 6.0 and Speaking 6.0
  • TOEFL Internet-based test - 79 Overall score, with minimum scores: Reading 13, Listening 12, Speaking 18 and Writing 21

Overview of the Dual Degree with Monash University

TISS is launching its first Dual Masters Degree in International Development Practice in partnership with Monash University, with whom it has developed a deep relationship built on a shared vision for the role of higher education in the Australia-India relationship and the importance of sustainable development.

This dual degree allows students to take courses in two programmes and work on different issue areas through field engagements and classes that will bring into contact professors, classmates, and colleagues from a range of experiences.It gives a platform for students to expand their network and learn within the international framework.

This dual degree is a two year Masters degree taught on campus at TISS and Monash University, Melbourne. On completion of the degree, students receive two degrees: an M.A (International Development Practice) from TISS and a Masters in International Development Practice from Monash University.

The cost-of-living expenses during semesters at Monash University are to be borne by the student.
The monthly cost is currently estimated at 90,000 INR per month (approx. 1,500 AUD) including on-campus accommodation
