TISS is launching its first Dual Masters Degree in International Development Practice in partnership with Monash University, with whom it has developed a deep relationship built on a shared vision for the role of higher education in the Australia-India relationship and the importance of sustainable development.
This dual degree allows students to take courses in two programmes and work on different issue areas through field engagements and classes that will bring into contact professors, classmates, and colleagues from a range of experiences. It gives a platform for students to expand their network and learn within the international framework.
This dual degree is a two year Masters degree taught on campus at TISS and Monash University, Melbourne. On completion of the degree, students receive two degrees: an M.A (International Development Practice) from TISS and a Masters in International Development Practice from Monash University.
There are challenges concerning the political, economic, cultural, and ecological well-being of people around the world which lead to extreme poverty, poor health, fragile governance, inequality, and environmental vulnerability. All these issues require professionals with practical skills and analytical capacity to build resilience at a national and community level.
