Applicants will be shortlisted for the Research Aptitude Test (RAT) on basis of them meeting the following considerations with regard to educational qualifications, work experience and research proposal:
Description
Direct Ph.D. for prospective candidates with experience of 5 years in field practice of research and counselling, clinical practice in mental health.
In continuation of the academic progress of the scholar, SHE is offering a Ph.D.Programme in Applied Psychology. The main requirement will be the thesis to be completed in 3 years. Interventions or theoretical researches could be the bases of the degree. Norms of the Institute as introduced by the Research Council and administered by the Doctoral Scholars Office will be followed. As the model is of practitioner/researcher, depending on the interest and need of particular issues that the scholar would work on, theory driven or intervention research topics can be the choices.
Course Work for Direct Ph.D.:
Attending modular coursework organized by the Office of Deputy Director, SHE’s M.PhilProgramme and/or course work determined by SHE in consultation with the Guide/Doctoral Advisory Committee members of the scholar to provide inputs in substantive areas of specialization (Counselling and Clinical Practice in this case). Original work for the thesis and timely work will be expected.

The full fees and deposits should be paid within the stipulated time after the announcement of the admission results. In addition, Rs. 50/- towards bank processing charges should be paid in any branch of the State Bank of India. If students fail to pay the fee on time, their candidature can be cancelled. Once the students details have been entered into the Online platform, a scanned copy of the fee receipt must be submitted via the online platform. Non-adherence to the above will be considered as equivalent to non-payment of fees.
